Growing domestic manufacturers ready to invest in quality improvements
November 17, 2016 – Ottawa, Canada – Sciemetric Instruments Inc. (www.sciemetric.com) a pioneer of Industry 4.0 smart technologies used by many global manufacturers to increase yield, improve quality and optimize manufacturing processes, has established its first office in China’s manufacturing-intensive Shanghai region.
The new office is located in Suzhou, close to the Chinese operations of key Sciemetric customers like Ford Motor Co., Jaguar Land Rover Corp. and Caterpillar Inc. The area is also home to many home-grown Chinese companies in automotive, heavy-equipment and off-highway. Sciemetric already works with many of these companies to help them achieve higher benchmarks for quality and plans to grow this customer base from its new office.
With its sales operations in China already managed by a local distribution partner, Sciemetric’s office is focused on application engineering, to provide product, installation and commissioning support to local customers.
The new office provides the local Sciemetric team with a central base of operations from which to conduct equipment repairs, host customers and prospects, and carry out application studies and demonstrations.
