Harrison, Ohio-based TASI Group acquires Sciemetric. The deal was attractive to both companies because they each have complementary technologies, strengths and market reach. Sciemetric will continue to operate as an independent Canadian corporation.

Sciemetric secures a leak testing patent from the European Patent Office that covers 12 innovations to boost the performance of this critical manufacturing quality test. The patent pertains to the 3520 Series Leak Tester.

Sciemetric expands into a new office and training facility in Rochester Hills, Mich. to better serve the region’s manufacturing sector. The new facility provides Sciemetric with greater capability and square footage to support customers and train them on its products.

Sciemetric names Chief Research Engineer Richard Brine as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Brine’s expertise and customer commitment have earned him increasing levels of responsibility across Sciemetric’s entire portfolio of tools and applications for in-process testing.
