Sciemetric opens new office to support U.K. operations

November 09, 2016 – Ottawa, Canada – Sciemetric Instruments Inc. (www.sciemetric.com) a pioneer of Industry 4.0 smart technologies used by many global manufacturers to increase yield, improve quality and optimize manufacturing processes, has shifted its U.K. operations to Infinity Park, a new 100-acre commercial and technology site in the city of Derby.

Sciemetric’s new office is located at Infinity Park’s iHub. This innovation centre is dedicated to research and technology transfer for supply-chain companies in the aerospace, automotive and rail sectors. It opened this past spring.

The move is part of Sciemetric’s long-term plan to support existing customers active in the U.K. and Europe, like Ford Motor Co. and Jaguar Land Rover Corp., while pursuing new business.

“The continued growth of Sciemetric’s business in Europe has necessitated the move to a larger facility where we can better support our new and existing customers,” said Andrew Hammond, Sciemetric’s sales manager for Europe. “We chose the iHub for its mix of office and workshop space, as well as the connection with local universities and manufacturing sectors. In particular, the workshop allows us to carry out customer-focused studies for various test and process data analytics applications. Our iHub facility will be essential for Sciemetric’ s penetration of Europe’s major manufacturing industries.”

Sciemetric will use the new space to carry out trials and demonstrations of products such as Sciemetric Studio, the next generation of its manufacturing analytics software, and its 3520 Series Leak Tester.

Sciemetric’s previous U.K. office location was Nottingham.
